Doctor Henry C. Potter Esquire Residence
East Saginaw, Michigan

S. Jefferson and Holland
1890

Dr. Henry C. Potter was a very prominent man, who was born in New York and later moved to East Saginaw to become the Vice President of the Flint & Pere Marquette Railroad Company.  With his influence in the railroad company, he became familiar to Bradford Lee Gilbert and had him create designs for his residence.

Through the years, the house passed through different hands, and the latest being the late Samuel Schwinck.

On July 25, 1944, fire destroyed what was left of the partially demolished home.  The site is now occupied by the Greater Williams Temple.
