Caldwell Railway Passenger Station
Essex Fells, New Jersey

Oak Lane (relocated)
1892

Once made of fieldstone and stucco, and its dimensions were 20 ft. x 57 ft.  It was built for less than $3,000.

Besides being a railroad station, it was also used as an office for the New York Suburban Land Company.

Today, the station is being used as a private residence.  However, the serpentine timbering in the gables were removed as well as the Porte-cochere, fieldstone, and fireplace.  There also has been some alterations by adding dormers and additions.

* Special thanks to Mark Schmitt for confirming the station's existence.
